I won two tickets to ACM PRESENTS: TIM McGRAW’S SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHTS!!!! It's in Vegas, so it's close! And Tim and Keith and Lady Antebellum, and even Pit Bull, who is about the only rap artist who I actually like some of their music.
The blurb: Country music superstars Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum along with international music sensation Pitbull, have been added to the all-star lineup of artists scheduled to perform at the ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night, taping Monday, April 8 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. They join previously announced performers Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift and Ne-Yo. The special will be broadcast at a later date on the CBS Television Network.
Fifteen-time ACM Award winner Tim McGraw is spotlighting the hottest music of the summer and calling on his friends to help kick off the 2013 tour season. ACM PRESENTS: TIM MCGRAW’S SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHT will feature high-octane performances and musical collaborations in a two-hour, star-studded concert event to benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music.
Okay, back-story: I follow Keith Urban on Twitter, and on Friday, he tweeted it was the last day to enter a contest his fanclub was putting on for a pair of tickets to the above, and the tickets would be awarded on Saturday. I figured what the heck, it's in Vegas, two hours away,I would never pay for tickets that the cheapest is $115, and I never win anything anyway. So I entered, I checked my email on Saturday and Sunday, nope, I didn't win. Last night, I'm watching TV, glancing at my Yahoo mail, and realize the email I must have seen in the morning might actually be from the contest!! IT WAS! I had 24 hours to respond, which I did, and I heard back today form Keith Urban's fan engagement person that the ACM would be in touch with me about the tickets. COMMENCE SQUEEEEING!!!!
I can't believe I won! And won something cool and fun and exciting!!! I've been bouncing around since last night!
