We're finally going to see Harry Potter tonight. Better late then never, right? Though I think we're far too late to see the X Men movie - that'll have to wait for DVD. After the unenthusiastic posts I've read about Cowboys and Aliens, I think we'll just wait to rent it when it comes out. Too bad, because I was really looking forward to that one.

I liked and disliked Cowboys & Aliens at the same time. Disliked it, because it was practically NOTHING like the graphic novel. Liked it because ... well, the cast was a great group and it was fun to watch after I'd forced myself to deal with the massive changes. But, yeah, definitely wait for DVD. In the meantime, read the GN. It's. AWESOME.

I adored the X-Men movie, won't be seeing Harry Potter, or Cowboys and Aliens in the theaters. The only movie left to come out this summer I really want to catch in the theater is Conan.

I'm still trying to decide if I'll go see Conan. One the one hand, it rocks that Jason Mamoa is the star, but on the other, it's not my sort of movie.

I understand. I know I can't take my mom to it. I can tell just from what I've seen in the ads that she'd never last. I've been a fan of Robert E. Howard for a long time. I remember that one of my thoughts when I turned 30 was that I'd reached the age he committed suicide at. Once in a while I still catch myself being surprised by how much longer I've lived than he did.
