I'm not sure, are you implying Nick is Immortal? Because, if so that would be a neat way of explaining how he served in the Howling Commandos in WWII (and way more plausible than all the reasons Marvel have given *g*). Because I thought you were with the 'still too young' line, but then he said 'your kind' which implies not. Sorry, just a little confused.

But still, good fic and I think you've caught the essence of the man quite nicely :)

The explanation is actually in the notes - some sort of anti aging serum he took in one of the comic books.
