that's where i am right now, in singapore. yup, uhuh, yup.
yippee kay-yay?
i don't know. i was in hokkaido about a month ago. that was cool. i may have written a few messages completely drunk. it was around the fourth of july.

singapore. hmmmm.
what to say? a lot of laws that i don't want to break. not because i find all of the morally offensive or wrong, i just don't want to get caned.

caning. it's when they hit people's ass with a piece of sugarcane until it splits open. i mean the ass. i saw a video of a person getting caned, and it was terrible to watch. before i saw it i thought it wouldn't be that bad, now i'm trying to avoid getting caned at all costs. other than the brutality of being arrested, singapore's nice. i like the architecture and feel of the city. european and asian styles fused or juxtaposed right next to each other, as well as more modern architecture. so i'll see a building that's supposed to be what i think is 18th century european marble with chinese awnings and a glass ceiling. or other examples of such nature, though i don't know architecture well enough to make any definitive comment. i just like the feel, especially how the plant life is overgrowing everywhere. whole buildings covered in vines, or what looks like jungle next to a glass tower. kind of like an image of a post-apocalyptic future where humanity has been nearly wiped out and forced to find an existence with a willful nature intent to return to its original state. maybe that's going a bit to far.
