I AM ALWAYS UP FOR NEW THREADINGS just jump me whenever I'm all good.

There are two things which are just PINGS for me, the ur-pings, the pings to outping all others. They are that a, the character is very individualistic and walks a very personal path in life, that they have chosen not due to taking up someone elses torch or because they have been forced on it, but out of a choice THEY and they alone have made, after comparing and considering options and alternatives.

The other is characters who are hella quirky, yet still functional. That is not to say that I do not love me some complete and utter idiots/maniacs, but I prefer my quirky characters to be capable of understanding the world around them, and why other people find them odd perfectly well... they just don't care, or are incapable of acting normal because that's just not who they ARE. Something about them is so fundamentally off that even if they can TRY to be normal, deep down they are living on a completely different planet. They can observe the planet the rest of the normal, regular population lives on, they can even occasionally commend that planet for having rather lovely gardens or scenic mountains, but they could never ever LIVE there because it's just not the place for them. If that makes any sense.

The character you think I should app next, whether they be counselor or camper, whether they come from a canon I know or not.

Well, the obvious answer to that is that one character that I know certain people have been trying to nudge you into apping. But while I approve of that, it'll just be boring to quote them, mmm? So! The one character I'd like you to app, for completely selfish reasons, is like. Bumi from Avatar: The Last Airbender. God I have always wanted a Bumi to play off, because Toph and him would be epic BFFs who would have earthbending battles under the table at dinner every evening. He would be crazy and hilarious to have in camp.

So after that answer now I'm curious as to: what do you think your pings say about yourself?

I am fairly cool with the fact that I often play characters who I more or less wish I can one day be. When I was a kid I was REALLY out of tune with the rest of the world. My brain worked in very set ways that was founded in logic not of this Earth, and it served to endear me to others as much as isolate me from them. But as time went on I eventually learned to synch up with other people more and more, became less selfish and more self-aware, and while still keeping a lot of mannerisms that baffle people I can now make a pretty darn convincing display of normality, when I am so required.

The short of it, is that a character has never interested me simply because they're cool, or because they're succesful or because they're an everyman. I guess I'm at the end of the day really just into characters who have something about them that's off, because I myself am more than a little bit off. Like draws to like, I guess.

Also, not to forget... at heart I am really just ten and want to play pretend that I'm a big darn awesome hero, because in real life I am pretty laidback. The characters I app are mostly people which allow me to be both outgoing and off.
