Today started at midnight, watching TV in Matt's room. I went to bed for a few hours then got up for my 8:15 with the dudiest lecturer ever, who is Scottish, hates 8:15s as much as us and says things like "Well this is a great reaction, it goes this great shimmery blue colour, quite special. And it's stereospecific, I mean it's great that it's a nice colour but you don't want a reaction that works and produces a bag o' shite you then have to work up" in a thick Scottish accent.
After that finished early I checked my emails to find a £5 Amazon voucher from Jen as a late Easter gift. I contemplate my wishlist and decide to buy it next week, as this week has already been expensive and clearly it's better to have two expensive weeks rather than one mega-expensive week. Of course.
I went to do my laundry, which is now hung from basically anywhere it's capable of being hung from in my room, making a nice cosy laundry-smelling den of damp freshness. I returned two library books that were late, oops. I went to my 12:15 workshop that we used the 6-minute rule on, then unanimously decided it wasn't on after all. Got back just in time to lug groceries up the stairs and stand in the middle of the ensuing flurry of, "Where's the list? Has anyone got the list? Has anyone seen my mushrooms? Is this your cereal? Where are my mushrooms? Who's got the list? Do we have any mushrooms?" etc. Out of it all Tesco gave me a FREE pastry case - I ordered two and they charged me for two but gave me three! Chocolate pies for all! Then we decided to have a picnic, which resulted in Jen and Laura getting cold and demanding that Blondie throw down two of his jumpers. He refuses. They try demanding that he throws down two of Will's jumpers. He refuses. We bang on Pete's window and get two jumpers, then come back in to "do work".
I ask Jen how to do the last of my maths coursework problems. "Oh, well you have to complete the square so it's like this *scribbles* then substitute in this *scribbles* then integrate to get this... do you get that?". Surprisingly enough, I get it.
I go back to my room to work and open a browser to look up something on the intranet. I end up browsing ebay and updating here.
Later I'm going to possibly go and hand in my maths, earning myself a lie-in tomorrow until 10. Then have a minimum effort reheat dinner and go and play with fire and talk to my GV friends, and after all THAT I will shower and get in bed and talk to Oz and be oh-so-excited about seeing him tomorrow, then go to sleep in my newly-laundered bed.
Could I have dreamed of a more perfect day?
