My babies are growing!!!

Oh, it makes me feel so proud and my heart bursts with joy when i check on the patches in the morning and see a little shoot of carrot or in today's case broadbeans!
And everyone that pops its little green head above soil I stroke and let it know that mummy loves them! I feel so connected to each one, after all the work that went in to simply clearing and weeding the patch they call home.
There's one little broadbean that looks like a rabbit- he's adorable.
At this point I realise that my great motherly love for these vegetables-to-be may seem odd, or a little too much.
But I beg to disagree.
It is the most beautiful thing possible to be able to create or take part in creation.
To encourage life into being is to be part of a miracle that goes unappreciated by most every moment.

An interesting book to read is 'Soul Trek'that covers how the soul experiences all states of being on this plane, mineral, vegetable, animal etc. and whether one understands that or not, we can at least relate to plants are living beings.
Once we accept them as that, the question begs to be asked:What is the difference between their life and mine/ On a soul level how are they different from us? And i think the answer to be that they are not. (Ofcourse ovbious differences of physicality etc. but ALL that aside- on a simple 'I am alive'/'You are alive' basis-is there any difference?
There's another amazing book called the Secret Life of Plants which I think is now out of print (?) if anyone can get hold of it, do.
