Day 119: My TV Got Hi-Jacked
“So You Think You Can Dance” is the stupidest fucking show, ever.
It’s not like “American Idol” (which I’m also extraordinarily not fond of) where you can go out and buy the winner’s album. These people aren’t going to headline anything. They’re fighting to become someone’s goddamn back-up dancer.
In Vegas.
What the fuck?
No one’s living the dream. You’ll never actually see what they do, or ever find out what will become of them. It’s a show built on the foundation of celebrity worship, where there’s no celebrity to worship.
And it still gets better ratings than “Battlestar Galactica,” “Rescue Me,” and “the Wire.”
I swear; I’m going to find out who’s dumbing* down America, and I will bring them to justice.
