More fun with the Mad Scientist. This time he has superpowers for you that alter your physical traits.
a.) Absorb the properties of inanimate materials. You have to be able to get into physical contact with it, but once you do your skin becomes like that object; steel, granite, concrete, silver, as long as it’s solid, and the denser it is, the stronger you get in return. For example, touching steel will make you more resilient and stronger than a weaker metal, like gold. This only works on things that are solid, so yes to ice, no to water. You can take on the properties of wood, but it has to be a log, and not an actual tree that is still growing on a cellular level.
b.) Take on the traits of an animal. The animal has to be within five miles of you in any direction, but no line of sight or anything like that, you can sort of sense them. If you feel a bird, you’ll be able to fly, but won’t grow feathers, but will you have to flap your wings like an idiot to take off, but it won’t take anymore effort than a bird uses to lift off. If you channel a bear, you’ll get its strength and senses, and speed if that’s something you actually want. You also get access to all the cool little things. If you’re near a peregrine falcon, then you are the fastest creature on Earth regardless of flying or running. Same goes for the proportionate speed of a cockroach or a spider, both of which are unbelievably fast for their size. If you’re underwater, you can also get gills if a fish is nearby.
What’s it going to be? Man of steel or quick like a cheetah?
