Day 7: Snake-u? Snake-U?! SNAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKE-UUUUUUUUUUUUU!?!?!?!?!?!?

Two of the biggest video games coming out for 2008 do absolutely nothing for me.  GTA 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 are going to be huge games.  They’ll sell millions of copies, make billions of dollars, and eat up trillions of hours in play time, and I don’t really care.

I get why they’re great, and I know why people like them, but I can’t really play ( Read more... )

metal gear solid, video games, mark of kri, resolution, gta, grand theft auto, crackdown

My Marvel UA Team consists of Deadpool, Spider Man, Thor and Luke Cage. Thoughts? Suggestions? Buttsecks?

And I actually enjoyed San Andreas, but that's because I had Sheehan over my shoulder the whole time telling me what to do. GTA just had too much downtime, and too many really specific things you had to do. Crackdown just said "Hey, go murder this gang boss. And capture more control points. And drive cars off buildings."

"Wipe these people out, then burn their neighborhood down. Don't forget to salt the earth. Don't dick around. This is serious business!"

My Ultimate Alliance team (I only rented it, and played it through to complete Atlantis) was Cap (always), Spidey/Wolverine for a mobile brawler, Thor/Iron Man/Human Torch for a flyer and ranged attacks, Thing/Colossus for my heavy bruiser. I switched them out from time to time, but whoever was mentioned first was who got played the most. Plus Thor can double as a ranged bruiser.

Exactly. As opposed to "Kill 5 rival gang members"

Another bad thing about San Andreas - transit time to other cities. PAIN IN THE ASS

Deadpool is nice for speed, as is Thor, cause of his power. Cage is a pretty sweet bruiser, and at this point (Just after Atlantis) it's not worth it to switch him out.

I also keep Deadpool around strictly for his dialog. Cause he's hysterical

If you like Cage, keep Cage, but remember, everyone levels up almost equally. If you swap out characters now, they'll be, at most, 2 levels below whoever you use the most, if not equal to them. I'm just a huge Ben Grimm fan, so I always keep the Thing in my party.

the only problem is the points you put into each costume. from what i've observed, they don't carry over

I have no idea what version you're playing, but since I have the Wii I have access to Moon Knight, who is bar-none the best boss-killer in the game. I keep Deadpool as he's impossible to kill, Thor, and the Black Panther. I prefer Luke Cage to the Thing and Colossus, and if you don't have the king of Wakanda either you can do some pretty cool shit with Ghost Rider.
