Rambles.
Because, A) I'm bored and B) I feel like talking about manga and shipping, I've kidnapped sono_blac's idea:
My first 'manga' was Pokemon Special, because I'm a closet Pokemon dork.
And I loved Wallace/Winona because they looked pretty together.
I heard that there was a Wallace/Winona scene in the manga, so I bought it.
I thought the scene was adorable, but it lacked something. It wasn't as shippy as everyone claimed it was, so I was a little dissapointed.
I had been in denial of Steven/Wallace since I started lurking the Serebii forums and seen the fangirls. And because I couldn't see how or why they'd be together.
Yet when I had the manga in my hands, Steven/Wallace seemed alot more cannon than Wallace/Winona to me.
And they were my first Shounen-ai couple.
Since then, I'd been looking behind the lines of all the other manga I've bought, looking for more boy/boy hints.
But I didn't look for girl/girl, that was until one of my favourite artists on the net drew a piece of fanart for Strawberry Panic!
So I was curious about this anime, yet hesitant about watching it, because it was Shoujo-ai.
Eventually I gave into the curiosity and watched it, and fell in love with the characters and their relationships.
