Shinshi Doumei, chapter 47 rambles
I've just been re-reading the last five chapters of Shinshi doumei Cross, and reading the reveiws, which actually annoyed me as they were negative.
Even though I was a bit miffed at the ending the first time I read it [My Yoshitaka/Maguri fangirl wanted something more on their relationship]
But after re-reading the ending many times, it's a perfect Arina ending, especially for Takanari and Haine, who are the main characters xD
The time skip reminds me of the ending to Fullmoon, which I adore.
An incident which leaves you all "'OMG' *wide eyes*'" and then skips into the future for the fluff =D.
And the speeches at the end make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside ~
Right, onto chapter #47, the finale =D
Haine didn't actually marry both of them. [I'm pretty sure that it's not allowed] But she said this:
As Takanari didn't have a family register, so she'd have to marry Shizun to be able to live with Taka.
The closest she would be able to get to a happy ending.
Also her eyes arn't all happy, they're more of a 'it's better if I do this' look rather than 'Yay I'm getting married ~'
And Shizun sorts everything out, like he does, and leaves Haine to Takanari.
And he left so he could send Haine that letter which opened the chapter xD
Haine and Takanari, are an amazingly cute couple, and Haine stull gets all flustered around him, which is adorable.
I think Takanari and Haine are my favourite out of Arina's cannon hetrosexual couples, they beat Mitsuki with Takuto, and Maron and Chiaki.
I just feel that Haine and Taka have more depth to them, especially because of their high class upbringing and, the moment which I shall remember as when Shizun split in two, the whole which-twin-do-i-love problem would have brought them closer.
And after all, Haine was the first person to accept Takas existence, evn if she didn't know it at the time
The re-enactment of the first date with names makes me smile. I adore Haines' wedding dress, it's stunning and it suits her well. Arina has a great sense of style. And I'm glad Haine grew out her hair again for the wedding, I prefer it when it's long :3
I love how Sensei managed to keep the whole student council together by having them all work for the Kamiyas, I did not expect Taka to be able to become the heir tho the Kamiya family. Although, wasn't Ushio the heir to her family? Yoshitaka was, but his dad is amazing and probably just let him do what he wanted xD
Kusaga and Kiriaki was a rather 'wtf' random pairing, but, why not? :P
And I'm happy that Komaki and Kusame are still together =D And Tachibana wanting to be the one to make Haine happy was adorable.Another Kamiya girl is being born, Maika must be about... almost 40? If she had Haine when she was almost 20.... She sure doesn't look it. The miracles of manga art xD
The moment where Senri removed his glasses infront of Ushio was really well carried out,
and “The only difference was that you were alive…oh, and you had many boyfriends and a twisted love for your best friend”
Baisically he loved her because when he first saw her he was reminded of Shouka, but then grew to love Ushio.
He looks good without his glasses on, but I prefer him with them :3
I didn't see Itsuki or Ryokka at the wedding, which was rather bad, as Itsuki is her father after all.
And Toya and Riiko made me happy, so this means that Toya accepter Riiko's feelings towards him and didn't push her away, which is good =D But poor Tsukasa didn't get anyone, but she will be strong, not every woman needs a man.
Shizun! How can you not smile when you see his?
And I still want to know why the idiot didn't contact anyone, but the ending is rather open so I can have my own theory about that xD
And when Haine flies into his arms and Taka pulling them apart, getting jealous xD I don't blame him though xD
Haine is Takas wife after all :3 and the three should be allowed to live together, thay are family now.
And Ushio, Maguri and Yoshitaka wil;l probably stay over some nights too.
I think Haine and Shizuns relationship might even out in the future to become more brother and sisterly rather than romantically interested with each other.
After all, I'm a true beleiver that Haine's feelings for Taka are stronger than her feelings for Shizun [even after that snowy night] and she made her choice. Even though she ran away when Shizun and Taka were bickering, like brothers do xD
I saw in some reveiw that some people took this way too seriously, come on, lighten up, Shinshi has been comedy > drama since the beginning.
And I heard that sensei will be doing an omake which will be like an epilogue <3
Personally I hope it will mention the new Kamiya daughter, even just in passing,
and theat it will just show a normal day of the student council members, with lots off fluffy comedy scenes between the main couples =D
Consider this as part one of the Shinshi rambles, as I like talking about this series =D
