Haven't been to the zoo in a while. Not really sure what to expect but, hey, why not? Nice to have a break from all of this.

(( ooc: very short entry because Firo's...pretty down because of the whole "mudbloods not welcome" thing. Feel free to pick up on that! ))

events, zoo time woo time, well fuck, firo, bigotry gets the hat down

They said it's a magical zoo, so it should be really interesting. I've never been to one like that before.

Neither have I. I wonder what kinda animals they got there...

Maybe they'll have dragons or something like that. Although I guess that might be a little dangerous...

Maybe, yeah. Wouldn't want them to breathe fire on a group of students. But maybe they have some of the other stuff. It's gonna be cool.

I think so! And it'll be really fun going there with everyone. It's nice that there's something fun coming up, considering... everything.

Yeah. I'm actually kinda surprised so many people signed up for it. ...and those were my thoughts exactly. We all need this. The teachers too.

[[ He quickly crosses out the next thing he writes, though Souji would definitely have read it. ]]

I thought all the prejudice was done with.

Well, we don't get the opportunity to go on field trips like this very often, so I think everyone's excited.

[Yup, he definitely read it. And he knows how Firo feels - after all, Souji's Muggleborn.]

Maybe this trip will give people more opportunities to see that we're all alike. You'd think they'd know that, after being at school together for so long, but... I guess not.

That's true. And, hey, it'll be a nice way for all the years and houses to migle, yeah?

[[ And that's exactly why Firo would talk to Souji, if anyone - and he doesn't do that often. ]]

I guess it's just, you know, some people have that hate ingrained in them. It's kinda not their fault I guess, it's just upbringing... but, man-

[[ A bunch of ink-blots, where Firo frustratedly stabbed the paper with his quill. ]]

I hope so. I'm sure the professors will be thinking about that too.

[His handwriting is a little messy too, thinking about it upsets him.]

Upbringing or not, they can change if they want to. I guess if they're really young then I'd understand, but... if it was an older student, I don't think I could. Not at all. We've all been together at this school for so many years, how can they still hate us anyone?

And if not them, Dumbledore, definitely.

I agree. I hate thinking if it's someone from our year...we get along pretty alright, I thought. ...but...there's no chance it could be someone from outside of school, is there?

No. I think they were all pretty sure it was someone inside the school. But I guess maybe... somehow they could be wrong. It's hard, thinking that there's someone here with that much hate inside them.

I wish they were wrong but fuck it sucks saying this but there's no one else it could be but someone from in school. Goddammit. This is such bullshite...

I know. Hogwarts is better than this, I know it is. Things like that just make everyone afraid and nervous... I think we just need to do our best to make people feel welcome and comfortable instead. No matter who they are.

...you're right. And I guess...I guess we should do that everyday, too. Y'know...just a reminder that, end of the day, we're all students in a magical world and no one knows what our blood is unless we tell them.

Yes. Not that it should matter, and maybe someday everyone will get over the blood thing, but... until then, we just have to do our best.
