Renastere [Poem]

Nov 11, 2007 22:12

I.     There is nothing more devastating;
        Nothing sadder or forlorn
        Than their indifferent going,
        The death of truest love born
                Despised and hated,
                Feelings unabated,
        When such courage should be mourned.

II.             A traitorous brother,
                 With ambitious plans
         Dearly departed, the soul of her father;
         All would come to no good an end
                Battles and alliances,
                Most unfortunate liaisions
         Would bring the downfall of a beloved friend.

III.   The squabbling family of selfish beasts
         Who care for none but their own,
         Celebrated their victory with a glorious feast,
         Toasting to the deceitful seeds they'd sown
                Tragic hero of past
                Burdened with a task
        To whom inexorable death flown

IV.           But Fate relents
                And gives redemption
        Another chance the heaves send,
        For the wheels to turn and give inception
                For centuries to pass,
                The uneasy peace will last,
        Till the coming of their conception

V.    When the fruit of life bursts forth
        The twin souls return, breaking the monotony
        They find each other, flame to moth
        To complete this veiled destiny.
                Friends and enemies gather,
                The ground cracks and shudders,
        As they prepare to fight their history.

VI.           Innate spirit of a warrior,
                She is justly fearless
        The brother returns as her advisor
        To the light, from the darkness.
                 Fiercely defiant, she resists
                 But the allure of true love still persists
        And only in that is she ever helpless.

VII. Hair of black and eyes of night
        He holds a will unconquerable
        Leading by wisdom and not by sight,
        Facing deadly odds insurmountable
                 Still, he is undaunted;
                 Unafraid of dangers flaunted
        Even when his heart is hers, his spirit is untamable.

VIII.        Still and deathly,
                 Calm before the storm
        Time dances, swirling about daintily
        With such grace and impeccable form
                 War and history are made,
                 Cold judgment awaits,
        As the fiery sun rises to a new dawn.
