Oookay, so we left for NY at around 10:30... took us a bit to get to the JJ center, but when we got there we were all,"YAY WE'RE FINALLY HERE HURRY UP COME ON LET'S GO". I was so happy when the first guy who asked my for my picture came up cause then I was like,"oh my, my first pic taken here!" and he said,"Haha, it won't be your last!" The best part was that everyone loved my "Join the SOS brigade" sign. XD I guess it was worth lugging it around, and people stopped me saying,"Can I join?" and some funny guy was like,"Does the SOS brigade provide health insurance?" LOL. It was just a nice experience to be stopped for photos and I got random hugs from some other Haruhis(weirdly enough, there weren't a lot of Haruhis like there were at AnimeExpo. There were 4 Haruhis including myself and two Mikurus,one combat waitress and the other a bunny girl) Well, the one girl had her Haruhi costume under her Akatsuki one so maybe it was like, 3 1/2. xD
Ok, so let me get to the part of the day that sucked. I went to one of the tables in the far off corner to finish off my money, so Giselle and I were browsing cell phone straps and figures. Now, this rude guy managing the table next to the lady's table we we browsing, out of NOWHERE, accuses us of stealing a Haruhi wallscroll. His accusation didn't even make sense, like he was saying that,"I saw you guys pass by my store leave, then come back(wtf???)" I bought my wallscroll at a store that was about, 5-6 tables down. He didn't believe us then decided to check it, he stayed quiet and gave it back to me but he kept giving Giselle dirty looks which pissed me and Giselle off(The asshole also started marking his things to keep track of them too). Convo with the lady who sold me the Light Yagami nendroid goes as follows:
Me: What the hell, I didn't take anything...
Giselle: What's his problem?
Lady: Ugh, don't mind him. He's a biotch. :/ -points to keychain case with Haruhi keychains- Which one would you like? I feel bad that he yelled at you guys like that.
She was nice enough to give me a free Haruhi keychain *A* That was so nice of her! I might've gotten a free keychain out of it, but geez, I really hated to be accused like that, it made me feel really bad, and we looked like idiots arguing back and forth with the other congoers near the table looking at us. I dunno. I still feel bad because he was convinced even after we left that we were thieves. Ugh. Moving on.
I swear, the Bandai table was crazy, they had a tv that played the Hare Hare Yukai repeatedly and every time we stopped by, SOMEBODY was dancing it. I ended up buying Tsuruya's character single from there :D Man, I bought a lot of stuff, I actually thought I wouldn't have enough, but I'm sure it was plenty. YAY.We didn't watch any anime screenings though, we didn't feel like we'd have enough time(especially because i had to be home at like, 4:30 and ended up coming late anyway)
