I noticed one of my dA friends lost their interest in Sonic completely and I agree with her,I'm getting sick of Sonic.
I used to love it when the game had NOT SO MANY(EMPHASIS on that) cute colorful characters with non-shitty angst plots. Now I'm sick of this stupid "Iblis Trigger" crap and the 2 new hedgehogs which one of them,IMO looks like a crappy fancharacter. When I heard about the second new hedgehog I knew that was it and I know that no matter what new game they make next,I figure it's going to be stupid anyways. Even though a LOT of people hated Sonic Heroes, I personally think that was waaaaaaay better than "Shadow the hedgehog" and this new-gen game with even more angst and unoriginality and blahblahblahdsnsj. AND MORE CHARACTERS. STOP MAKING CHARACTERS,ALL RIGHT? JUST STOP. STOP. STOPITSTOPITSTOPIT.
And the fandom? DON'T.GET.ME.STARTED. I'm sick of these stupid ship wars. "SonAmy iz da best!!1!1 i hate sally acorn EVEN THOUGH I NEVER SAW SATAM!1!!! im the 234982394782309th person to ONLY like SonAmy,Knuxouge,Taiream,AND i shipped my shitty marysue with shadowe!11!" I know I'm a horrible yaoi fangirl myself BUT,I'm ALSO annoyed with these annoying fangirls that just only live for Sonadow and Sonadow and Sonadow. And some idiots I've seen that only ship SonTails. yeesh. The ship wars are bad,but the fancharacters are even worse. If I see another recolor of ANY of the main characters (there's a recolor for everyone of them,seriously), I'm going to scream. But sadly,it's all the time I see them,and there's nothing one can do about it.
Did I mention fanartists? Some of them are so incredibly SNOBBY,and for what reason? I don't know. But just because you're talented doesn't mean you have to treat everyone else that isn't as talented as you are like a piece of crap. So,all in all,what can I say about this fandom? It's a spiraling shithole. It's always going to be like that,sadly. pretty much no one will like you if you can't draw good fanart or don't have a good fancharacter,but I noticed that as long as you like SonAmy,Taiream,and Knuxouge,and you can draw,you're a-okay. e_e So,yeah. I'm not going to bother with it anymore.
(yes I know the Pokemon fandom is similar. But it's the Pokemon anime fandom that is crap,and I don't dabble in it. But who's to say the Pokesupe fandom isn't peachy itself..)
