sweet actually, operation distract is a go, i'd run right into hell and back, post-curse, doesn't remember a thing, memories, unaffected, feels like the first time, can has husband, srs bsns, worryin' about you, i would do anything for love, ren, the strength of my will

[There isn't a response Misao, but outside the apartment door there is a bouquet of flowers, with a note attached:]

The person I am now hates that you saw the person I was then. I'll wait till you wish to see me again.

[Misao stepped outside her apartment and found the bouquet. A soft gasp escaped her, and she fetched it from the floor, reading the note.]

[A frown came to her lips, but it was one of concern.]

Ren . . .

[She put the flowers back in the apartment, admiring them near the window. But now wasn't the time for that.]

[She picked up her communicator and sent him a message again.]

[She ran into Xanadu, barely pausing as she scanned the area for Ren. It was with relief when she finally spotted him sitting under a tree, and she sprinted towards him, immediately skidding to a stop before him and throwing her arms around him.]

Not quite. If it was I could brush it off as nonsense but...that was the truth, that's who I was for most of my life.

[Ren wanted to look away, but with Misao holding his face that wasn't an option. Sure he hated himself for this, but what really got to him was that she accepted it so easily, even though, with the City, this wouldn't be the end of the matter.]

This place could easily do it again. How many times must I let you forgive me for being an ass?

[She stared at him, willing him to understand. She was there for him, and it didn't matter what the curses made him do or his past made him do.]

[He could argue it further, the shame was still evident, but somehow, mixed in with the guilt was a sense of relief. He was accepted, loved even, something he thought he would never be blessed with. He didn't deserve it but at the same time did not wish to let it go.]

[In this instance, all he could do was give in, pulling Misao suddenly into a tight embrace, lips near< her ear. There were words he still couldn't say, but there were things that he couldn't hold back either.]

I really...am so fortunate to have you, and I never...want to let go.

[She gasped at his arms suddenly closed tight around her, and when she recovered from the surprise she hugged him back just as tightly. She was trying to get him to understand that she loved him, and nothing would change that. Feeling it in his embrace made her know that he got the message.]

[She kissed his cheek, burying her face in his neck.]

'Cause I'm not gonna let go.
