Our Gastranomic quest continues!

Last night was a Japanese Noodle place on Dalry Road. Sushiya has only been open a few months but is total CLASS! Talk about moving to Tokyo without leaving Edinburgh, wow.

Firstly is the size of a postage stamp, its tiny! 20 people would fill it totally. The tables are 2ft square tops with a full sized table beside the window. Strange thing is that although I have said it is tiny it is beautifully sparse. In typical Japanese efficiency there are exactly the correct amount of things to make your dining experience a joy. Jimbo and I then ordered a little Sushi starter and then a couple of Yaki Udon for main with a couple of really tasty Sapporo. All for well under £30!! They even got a tip!
If ther ehad been no limit I would have totally pigged out and Saki'd myself to death. I discovered Saki when I was away working and I have decided it is time to get totally walloped on Saki! I suspect hangover from hell but wow Japanese hangover!

Other big news..BIGGER even..The Offsping has another disease that I have never seen anyone get.

For all of you that don't know, Offsping collects new and interesting diseases and this new one is a topper! He has 'Hand, Foot and Mouth'. It sounds a cross between a nursery activity and something you may have to shoot cows and burn the bodies. Basically the upshot is he looks like you could play connect the dots on his face, stuck his foot in the fire and poo's sulphuric acid out of his bum. (Because it is him it is possible he does any/ all three of these things) To add to this he is SO SNOTTERY that it just defies explaination. Where does it come from and how the HELL is there so much of it..and why the hell is it bright green? And why, when exposed to air does it turn into a solid with the bonding properties and hardness of cement?
Just to ad to all of this, even though he looks like a plague victim and strangers run screaming he is actually on really good form and doesnt seem a bit bothered. Go figure!

Kids....strange eh?
