Third Person:
Sleeping was never an option for Gaara. It never had been and, even after time without a demon within him, he only sleeps when forced to by exhaustion. Or drugs, slipped to him by his siblings. So, when he woke blinking at his ceiling from the loving comfort of his office's hard floor, he was irritated. The Kazekage was not narcoleptic and did not fall to slumber randomly. So, logically, this had never happened.
He stood, casually cracking and popping all his stiff joints. That should teach his body to make a mattress out of the floor. Gaara glared at the offending plain below him. He was Kazekage, it should have softened for him if it demanded to be used in such a manor. And just where was his Sand anyway? He still had his gourd at his command, it should have protected him.
The peculiar weight on his chest he'd assumed was tight muscles had not yet dissipated. His brow furrowed as he looked down to find two odd lumps under his robes. An odd place for his Sand to settle. He willed the protrusions to smooth themselves out and started toward his desk. The lumps came with with. More confused now, he directed a glare at them and demanded they go. They were being stubborn. Lifting a hand, he grabbed one to force its move-- and froze.
That. Felt. Very. Wrong. In. A. Very. Nice. Way.
A peek below his robes proved he was indeed sporting two extra deposits of fat he hadn't had that morning. They were nice, he admitted. If one liked that sort of thing. So, asking Kankuro for advice was out. He was his brother, but he could also get hung up on minute details. At the door, just as he'd made up his mind Temarri would be safe to talk to, he paused again to check on a not-so-minor detail. Well, he'd simply have to ask her about that, too.

"Zombies," Gaara tried it out himself. "Temari has been detained by an army of undead."
No, no. The information did not make any more sense when he said it. Closing the door without ceremony, he turned and proceeded out to his deck. There, just beyond the city proper, he could see a mass. The wrinkles on his forehead deepened. Not only was he dealing with new femininity, someone had decided to take advantage of his presumed weakness and attack his village with its dead. It may have worked, an insignificant portion of his brain piped up, but he'd lived with a sanity-eating demon sealed within him for fifteen years. Not only that, they had given him a uterus and something much worse than a male's raging hormones. Gaara was now a scorned woman the likes of which Hell hath no fury.
They had his sister when he needed her council. They invaded his home and threatened what he swore to protect. Naruto would not stand for this, Subaku no Gaara was not about to either. He gathered his weapons and marched passed speechless guards. (He had not opened the door far earlier, and now they could see his chest where his new breasts were obvious with their bouncing from the quickened pace.) Temari best not have fallen to them. He would chain her up in his office and still demand answers from her. There would be no escape.
The first zombie he came across was familiar. He stared at the lumbering mass as it shuffled toward him with a groan. Ah, that was it. He'd seen this woman often with complaints about stolen chickens, cuckold husbands, and poisoned potatoes. He removed her legs with a whip-like swipe from his Sand and left her to struggle after him. She would have had a better chance if she had enough brains to walk with her hands instead of drag herself along. Village gossips were never accused of being the sharpest kunai in the stash. Leave it to them to cause him delay even after death, though. Gaara continued on, clearing a path in his search for family.
