"Here, let me help you with that," said Lee. Contrite, he reached across the low Japanese-style table and helped his teacher untie the knots of the Super Anti-Wrinkle avacado mask. It looked disgustingly green as always. He threw it away and then made him a nice cup of expresso.

He should have remembered mornings weren't Gai-sensei's perferred time of day.

"AHHH. Thank you, Lee. You must forgive my surly behavior earlier. As you know I always feel much less human in the mornings until I've had my first cup of coffee and wiped the gunk off my face. Now, what's this about a problem? You know you can always talk to me about anything."
Lee told him.

"Oh god. I mean oh dear. I see. I see. Well, Lee, this may take a while to explain. Sit, relax, take off your coats."

Lee did so in good cheer. Answers were forthcoming!

For a long time, there was silence.

"... Lee," said Gai-sensei and his eyes were serious. "Do you remember that talk we had about flowering and hormones? Now, hormones can do strange things to a young man. Increase a young man's testosterone levels and you'll increase his taste for agression -- which can indeed manifest into rude name calling and violent thoughts and uh dreams of pretty young men.
