The Lola Invasion

Mar 21, 2006 18:28

This was taken the last day that Lola was with us. I had given up on trying to keep her off the couch or even on the sheet that covered most of the couch. Apparently, she had a thing for microfiber.

Sunday morning: the cleaning began. Steve couldn't shove furniture out of the way fast enough for me. I was wiping down baseboards, window sills, vacuuming the couch along with the carpet. After a thorough scrubbing of the place and many bottles of Febreeze, I finally felt satisfied that the scent du Lola was finally dissipating.

This apartment currently smells like peaches and vanilla. I'm trying to fend off whatever nastiness Steve had last week, so I'm laying low and hoping the zinc, vitamin C, and water will get me through tomorrow's dental appointment. Otherwise, I won't be able to breath through my nose and will have the fear of suffocating and having the last sound I hear be that horrible suction thing they stick in your mouth so you don't drown in your own spit.
