Opine on music, please
I have a question I'd like to throw out to everyone. I thought of it a year or so ago, but never got around to posting it until now.
So, if you could become very good at any musical instrument (singing counts), overnight with no effort, what would it be?
It leads to the interesting sub-question of whether people would take something they've already got some competence at, and get really good at it (perhaps because it's what they love best, or perhaps some other reason), or take something new and go from zero to really good for nothing.
Singing, hands down. I would never hit wrong notes, have that impossible-to-quantify beautiful vocal quality, and have that instinctive ability to harmonize that I so, so admire, but do not have.
