My thought for the day

Can men and women truely ever be friends or does sex or the thought of sex always get in the way? If indeed you are friends with a guy is it just a base point to see where things lead and if you will eventually be together or fuck? With some people it's obvious what their intentions are and others are not so clear. Does it really matter anyway? Is friendship with the opposite gender in reality just an unconscious ego boot knowing that you have someone who will be seen with you and people will assume you are with...thus making yourself look good? And are gender to gender friendships just so you have someone to spend time with until you meet the person you want to be with and spend your life with, thus making the whole world revolve around the opposite sex and love?
Where does work fit in...work is a necissary evil to support yourself and stay alive and to obtain possessions making yourself look better to the opposite sex as a way to lure them and attract them, then untimatly snare them...

Just a thought. I'm in a philosophical mood.
