[Alanada] Page seven (ate nine).

[The words on this page have been written carefully and with a great deal of force-- the next two pages, left blank, show ink marks where the pen tore through.]

They forget.

The humans were our allies, and we did our best to aid them, few of us though there were. They accepted our help gratefully--no, greedily, using us for tasks they were unwilling to complete themselves. We never wavered. When we were denied glory in battle, still we did our part, and when the humans left us alone and defenseless to slow the enemy, we triumphed. The blood of our fallen siblings demanded nothing less.

In thanks for our efforts, they imprisoned us and condemned us to death. How dare we survive where humans would have fallen! How dare we make their leader look a fool! The naga, our twisted cousins, were more faithful than Lordaeron.

I have not forgotten. I will not forget. Even when the others show their memories and temper to be as fickle as the humans', I will keep that truth burning.

We are enemies. It is not a matter of politics or nation. It is personal.
