Disclaimer: MEME IS FOR CONTEXT. I AM NOT GOOD AT COMING UP WITH QUESTIONS. /o\

1. What was your first fandom? What (if anything) do you miss about it?

My first fandom was probably Animorphs! I was maaaaaad for those books and measured the price of everything in the world the slightly awkward monetary unit of 'I could have an Animorph book for that.'

I would go to the Scholastic website every month for the preview chapter of the new book and I would stalk the FAQ for new questions and roll my eyes at the ones that were soooo dumb, oh my god. (This was fifth grade. I hadn't discovered fanfic yet.)

But do you know what was also on Scholastic's website and oh my god what the hell are all these sidebar ads ABOUT anyway??? Harry Potter.

My first fandom-with-fanfiction was Harry Potter! I was totally hitting up fanfic.net for new chapters every day and had a little notepad with titles and authors and how many chapters I'd read and what day the authors promised new fic on.

Back in the dayyyyyy. Before ff.net even had the option to chapter fics.

I have ever so much nostalgia for HP fandom because it was how I discovered fanfic, by basically googling "Harry Potter" (though I think this was before people really used google so...alta vista'ing "Harry Potter") and reading every. single. result. I. found.

And then there were all those archive sites and yahoo groups and fandom was just so big...but then my parents decided they were really worried about my internet addiction and canceled our internet subscription and I didn't get it back until late High School. >.<

Hard times. Fic consumption really goes down when you only have 15-20 minutes at the school computer every recess.

I don't really miss anything about my first fandoms, I didn't get tired of them so much as move on to new and shiny (or more active) things!

Except midnight release parties. Those were pretty rad. Especially the one the Mall of America threw for the fourth book. That was an amazing experience. I still have my bag of *cool stuff* from that night. The temperature sensitive cup is a particular favorite still.

The fond haze of bb's first fandoms is very strong. #nostalgia #nostalgia #nostalgia

2. ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE: What do you do?

Hope my dad is home because he knows how all the guns work!

Get rid of the front and back stairs so we are living in a house on stilts and the zombies have no way of getting in until the bodies pile up for eight feet or so!

Twitter would totes know about the zombiepocolypes hours/days/weeks before the rest of the world caught on y/y? Totally time to stockpile on essentials and tradeable goods.

Print off my favorite fics before the internet dies! Stockpile books! Reread World War Z and freak myself out! wish I had a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide! Be very sad when the internet and electricity die. Especially if it's the summer.

Really hope that the zombies head for the cities and leave us alone! Really hope I'm not *in* a city when the zombiepocolypse happens.

If I'm at school when it strikes I'll probably get eaten. :|

3. What trope/genre/whatever is MCR fandom totally not writing enough of?

So writing about Harry Potter for question one reminded me of HOW VERY MUCH I love timetravel fic.

Dear Hermione's time turner,

Your were the best plot device ever.

love, me.

And
ladyfoxxx has given us some lovely time travel fic for BBB which I LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE. And
mahoni has even written Doctor Who/Ghost of You crossover fic (oh my HEART) which is delightful for time travel, interplanetary travel, and general crossover bliss!

Eee, yes. I LOVE CROSSOVERS. And I would love if bandom-in-general had more crossovers with other fandoms. I think
roga wrote fic where Adam Lambert met Ziva David from NCIS and I about died of I-didn't-know-I-needed-this-in-my-life-but-I-so-did-ness. Also the fic where Bob meets Ronan from SGA in an emergency room (and then things happen) was amazing. So, more rpf crossovers with fictional fandoms would be A W E S O M E.

And while I'm wishlisting things, I wish there was more fic with Alicia in a more central role. A lot of what's out there is AMAZING, but one runs out of Alicia!fic rather quickly. #aliciabert

AND AND AND! Notting Hill!fic. Like, one part of the pairing is famous and the other part is just a normal person.
reni_days's fic where Spencer is an accountant and Brendon is Brendon is just SO AMAZING and I've read another fic or two of this. (The one where Frank is in Leathermouth and Gerard is a comic writer is kinda like this) (And there's the one (which I have LOST THE LINK TO) where Gerard is a creeper fanboy of Lyn-z who accidentally befriends Frank-who-knows-her..I think?)

So those are my most desired ficcish things I woud love there to be more of. But really MCR fandom and bandom in general are full of such a DIVERSE accumulation of fics that I am really incredibly happy with how things are going. ♥ ♥ ♥

4. JUST HOW CUTE is Frank Iero in person when he's standing right next to you? :DDDDD

HE IS VERY VERY CUTE. I still am not over how full of laughter his voice is. *____*

5. Do you have siblings? Do you get along with them?

Indeed I do not! I am an only child and grew up in a pretty rural area with no other kids nearby. But I play well with others!  :D
