Alright here's one of my pet crack fan theories that I came up with all by my loneself.
Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone: Describes the smallest bedroom where the Dursleys keep all of Dudley's toys. Included is a broken television that 'Dudley put his foot through when his favorite television program was canceled.'
And just to refresh your memory in regards to dating the Harry Potter books, since the movies do a splendid job of putting them in the 2001-2007 timeframe, Book one took place in 1991. And what programme, gentle readers, was canceled in 1989? You don't even have to know do you, you just have to know me. Doctor Who was canceled in 1989.
Dudders could have been a fan of the Seventh Doctor.
