Phear my driving skils

I just had my most spectacular bike crash EVAR. I was returning from my doom of a Japanese test, unconcerned, la de la de la -- when I encountered a bike on the closed road between two buildings. We both turned to miss each other, but alas! we were not on the same page, I and he both swerved to my right and our front wheels connected!
I
flew clear of my bike and remarkably far to the right; he and his bike's energy continued down the street a few feet. But he was well and truly crashed too. It was in the low sixties today so I sustained no abrasions or any harm so my first words were "are you alright?!" because the crazy boy had been in shorts. He was alright.
I
got up at last and hurried to where their inertia had carried my glasses and picked them up. My biggest worry had been that someone would concernedly come over and step on them! They were alright, I was alright, he was alright. But my lovely bike, Jamie, is not.

Ze bike, I cannot turn ze handlebars anymore!  They're so stiff I can hardly wrestle them from side to side and on campus no trip is a straight line -  all those dang college student/pedestrians in the way. Such a bummer 'cause If this problem hadn't arisen this would have been the coolest thing to happen to me all day.

I guess that says something about how sucky my test-o-rama week  is shaping out. I want Thursday to come so I can watch Ashes to Ashes but I desperately do not want to have my first French World Lit test. I haven't had a serious essay test in so long. And a meteorology test on Friday doesn't improve matters either.
Ooh! Another awful thing that happened this week - I left my wallet on its hook twice in one day and the second time I wasn't just jonesing for a Minute Maid before class- I was at H.E.B. trying to buy the necessities of survival! A whole hour-long trip wasted. It would have been just as productive to sit in the dorm and listen to my Wizard Rock there. Le sigh.

nastyness, a story to tell on jeopardy!, college, buying stuff, ashes to ashes, waily waily waily
