(Sorry for the bold, LJ was being stupid and won't let me fix it.)
The Prompt.
A show about 1940's bar and its regulars, BUT the lounge singer and her piano player are secretly magic/angels/demons/faeries/whatever. Something whimsical!
Synopsis.
Annabele Harker was barely seventeen when she married the love of her life Ian Dalfrey. Five years later after he died in a car accident, Annabele is left to run his pride and joy. The one thing he loved almost as much as Annabele. His bar, Grovers. Living alone in the Manhattan Lower East Side by yourself is never easy, and running a bar when most of your patrons are off fighting a war against Hitler is not the best thing for business.
One morning as Annabele is working in the bar, two young people showed up at her doorstep, stating that they were a singer and her piano player, and if at all possible could be of use. Annabele nearly immediately accepted them, because there was something about them that made her not want to say no. Catherine and Arthur are as far from normal as possible. Catherine is the exiled Seelie Queen and Arthur was her once favorite knight turned lover.
Hiding in plain sight among the iron of New York City, Catherine and Arthur must stay hidden or they will both be tortured and murdered by their former friends and even their enemies. The Seelie Court and the Unseelie Court are all looking for them and it's bad.
Cast.
Annabele (Bar Owner/Bar Maid)
Catherine (Exiled Seelie Queen/lounge singer)
