update
Long-story-short kind of update.
Have moved, finally. Have phone, have cable, have internet. Do not have e-mail. Why?
Just before moving, the Dell stopped booting. You know, the one that's less than a year old. Dell said hard drive was bad. Dell dispatched person to replace hard drive. Guy replaced hard drive. Computer wouldn't boot. Guy said that memory was possibly bad, motherboard more than likely bad. Parts on order, thank God for warrenty.
This is all just fine, except Josh is having problems restoring the data like he did the last time we had a drive go bad. The files are being recognized, but not fully restored. Trying very, very hard not to go into a blind panic. Saved Sims 2 games, thousands of mp3s, hundreds of difficult/impossible to replace pictures, icons etc I have made, and years of fanfiction work. We may end up paying for data restoration, which will not be cheap, but I'm willing to pay for some of what's on that drive. ::shudder::
