Thank you for reading! <3 Drusilla's tough to write...

Your language is lovely in this and you delve into so many of the deep questions about how her family came to this pass in an interesting way. Very nice!

I'm worried about Dru too and I hope she'll appear in canon again. I think she could get better, but she's so fragile that it'd probably take all the time in the world...

It was actually my first time writing Drusilla. She's not easy to write)) But I might try again some time))
Thanks for reading!

He can’t possibly ask anything of her. Not now. But maybe it’s the first step.
WOW.
(Sorry I'm completely lacking in the eloquence department right now. I came by to wish you a Happy birthday and couldn't help reading and JUST WOW. This is fantastically good. I have almost given up on Spike-centric fics, this is a gem.)
“She saved me,” he whispers. “Dru delivered me from mediocrity.” The words taste familiar. How-? Oh, right. Buffy. He said it to Buffy when he was about to stake Drusilla for her. A terrible gift she never could have accepted - he knows that now. He tried so hard to turn his love for Buffy into a duplicate of his feelings for Dru. No wonder she could not reciprocate.
Exactly.
MAJOR kudos for an interesting OC in Malposo who I actually would want to get to know better. (What is that called? Oh yeah, good writing.)

As happy as I would be to take credit for Malposo, she's not my OC unfortunately, she's from the comic books, notably the Spike: Asylum series. I have a complicated relationship with the official Buffyverse comics, half the time I pretend they don't exist, but I do like some of the arcs (or bits of some arcs at least), and she's definitely an interesting character.
I have almost given up on Spike-centric fics I can relate :(( He is often written as some kind of a pining, personality-lacking Angel Junior. O_o I don't know what it is about Spike and Buffy/Spike that makes people think boring romance!

She's not the same psychologist who showed up in the original Slayer, Interrrupted arc, is she? (A reminaging of Buffy's time in the asylum, pre-SunnyD) Because that was a pretty awesome character too.
He is often written as some kind of a pining, personality-lacking Angel Junior. O_o I don't know what it is about Spike and Buffy/Spike that makes people think boring romance! I've noticed that Bangel fans and Spuffy fans tend to think they are so different to each other and want totally different things, and maybe that's true if we're strictly discussing canon, but when it comes to fanfiction? Bangel fans want the hot sex their pairing was denied, Spuffy fans want the romance their pairing was denied. aka, we all want the SAME stuff, basically ( ... )
