HP/LV poem

Dear
mizstorge, thank you for your comment on that little poem related to You Set My Soul Alight. I got inspired to write another poem! ;)

No Longer Free

from Harry to Tom (inspired by Spiritus Mundi)

I don’t know how I let you go,

Just let you walk out of my life

When I held you within my grasp.

Beneath your calm façade

The monsters lurk,

Waiting to get drunk on my desire.

Why must you be so beautiful,

So deceptive? Why are you everything,

Everything that I’ve been looking for?

Ask me if I’d like to see you, feel you,

Hear you speak my name

In the dark when the world lies asleep.

Ask me if I want to be with you,

Love you, hate you, look at you

As if in the mirror.

My cold, my treacherous one,

My vain, my desirable one,
We are no longer free in our choices.
