We'll just call'em ROOT and pretend they don't exist
I was almost not going to do this b/c seriously, don't I spam you enough? XDDD Buuuut, I'm bored)))) Fear me when I'm bored.
It's become my lovely Friday routine: I wake in the morning, watch the new Shippuuden ep, wait for the manga chapter to be thrown out on Onemanga.com and then read it. And then rant here!
I should say this ep was boring. It was longer (why is it that Sui and Karin get one ep, but Juugo gets at least two? I love Juugo, honestly, but it doesn't seem fair to me) and had less substance. It had some cute Konoha moments, but we've established long ago that I don't care much for anyone in Konoha anymore except Naruto. At least in Shippuuden. But damn, the Naruto and Jiraiya moments keep bringing me close to tears. Jiraiya just wins. But that scene (when Tsunade tells Naruto and Sakura Orochimaru's dead) seemed to play out better in the manga.
Now, Hebi. Karin is still annoying (I hate the way her voice changes when she's alone with Sasuke; even Naruto's Sexy no Jutsu form sounds more natural!); Sui is still fun; Sasuke is... Sasuke. The only thing I can say about him here is that I love his speed. He's so fast his fights are breathtaking to watch.
Juugo is love. That moment with Kimimaro made me squeal (I do that a lot while watching my fav shows, in case you haven't realized that yet). Why yes, I am a KimiJuu shipper))) Not terribly active but I did write a drabble for them once)))) Or rather, a set of related drabbles. And if they continue in the same fashion, I might write smth else))) B/c Sasuke to Juugo is really just Kimimaro in a new form. (It's love, ppl))))
The manga left me with mixed feelings.
ROOT is basically... the root of the problem. Wow, that sounds weird))) Take Danzou f.ex. He annoys me. A LOT. If you want a villain, we have Madara. He's funny and evil and cunning and he used to be very hot and slashable with Hashirama (and no, I won't ever shut up about it). But Danzou is... I dunno... dumb. If that popular theory that Danzou is Madara turns out to be true, Kishi is dead! My friend Nox actually came up with another theory: what if Danzou stole Madara's eye? XDDDD Personally I love that! They both have only one Sharingan, obviously, in different sockets, right? ETA3: Ah, no, the same one... Still, he could have poked one of Madara's eyes out and just put it in a different socket!
Then there's Sai. Don't ask me what my deal with Sai is: I don't know! Everyone I know likes him (most of the people I know even love him), but I... don't. I just don't care. You could probably notice it from my fics: he usually plays very little parts there. Then again, I dislike Hinata, but she played a pretty big part (comparatively) in the beginning of NMH. Anyway, I DON'T and NEVER WILL pair Sai with Naruto. I object to that. I find it absolutely terrible. Sai came in as a replacement for Sasuke. I admit that he evolved into a pretty nice character, but it doesn't mean he should take Sasuke's place in Naruto's heart. He's already taken it in Naruto's team (but I'm okay with that since I'm a fan of Hawk anyway, and Sasuke looks better as a captain).
It was nice of Sai to act the way he did in the last chapter. I also liked his convo with Kakashi. But... still, I can't bring myself to accept the growing part Sai's playing in Team Seven's life. There's Team Yamato that I accept as a temporary formation - and let Sai be a part of that. And there's Team Seven, the one and only, with Kakashi and Sasuke. Don't mix that, please, Kishi.
Team Samui is still awesome, though I'd rather they let Naruto join them. Naruto should leave the village and help them save Killer Bee. NAO! Without Sai, too)))) B/c maybe they'll all end up at the Summit and Sasuke will be there too. You know?)))
Oh btw, no offence to the Sai fans on my flist. I know there are many since I have yet to meet a person who will agree with me about Sai. I firmly believe ppl like me don't exist.
ETA: Tooootally forgot! The convo about Minato was cute. But how come Naruto doesn't want to kick Kakashi's ass for not telling him the truth if he knew it? Btw glad I was right: he ttly knew it)))
And now I might go work on NMH. If I recall what the hell I wanted from that story)))
ETA2: MOAR on Danzou =/= Madara theory!
