Shippuuden 115 & Naruto 454: Lulz and WTF continue. Semi-canon edition
It's been a week, and here I'm back again with my annoying rambling)) Bear with me, muhahahhaa!
They were walking on water. I don't actually remember if it was that clear for me in the manga, but the vast amounts of blue in the anime totally stole my breath! I love water))) The more of it the better, especially since anime usually makes it unrealistically beautiful))) Besides, it's just cool to watch them walk on water. I wonder if it's tiring to focus chakra in the feet all the time)))
The moment by the door when Suigetsu referred to the Kusanagi was hilarious, mainly because it reminded me of this lulzy doodle by artsatalex. Almost two years ago, I can't believe it)))
The OP brought a good surprise: Hebi finally made it there! I squealed happily. Then there was this tiny ItaSasu battle moment, and I squealed MOAR)))
Overall this ep was satisfactory. It was more canon than the previous one (and less lulzy for this reason))), except for a sappy flashback on how Karin and Sasuke met. I'm not sure I like the idea of Sasuke hunting down Orochimaru's test subjects... It seems somehow... wrong. I can see him doing that now (he did go after Hachibi, after all), but back then he seemed somehow more noble. The principle of only having one person to kill is great, but if he takes the escapees back to Orochimaru, they'll die anyway. It's probably a way to underline how much he doesn't care, but it doesn't make me think of him any higher - and he already comes off as a cold, unprincipled bastard in the majority of my fics.
And what's with making Karin so obsessed with his chakra? XDDDD I was under the impression she just wanted to get in his pants)))
One more nitpick: WHY is Karin's hair pink? It looks perfectly read to me in Kishi's coloured pages. Seriously, we already have Sakura with pink hair and we had Tayuya; Karin's hair is red! Leave it that way plz, kthxbai.
I have nothing much to say on the flashback. I'm not a SasuKarin shipper and never will be (I used to be averse to any pairings involving her, but lately I've been leaning a bit towards SuiKa), so that crazy flashback left me completely unfazed. LOL, that ep actually reminds me how much I used to dislike Karin))) I found my peace with her after the fight against Killer Bee. The entire Team Hawk acted so much like a normal team there))) But back in the beginning, she was horrible. I hope it doesn't affect my work on NMH b/c I'm supposed to like her there))) (YES, ppl, I will NEVER shut up abaout my writing! XDDDDD B/c I'm obsessed, muhahhah!)
Juugo next week! I love Juugo! And now I think I love Juugo's voice too.
I don't like the new ED. T_T It has no SasuNaru undertones(((

Aaaand the manga. It was... weird. Good weird, but still weird.
At first I was a bit taken aback by this chapter. New characters and all... I'm not fond of that happening. But then again, I didn't like the Cloud-centric chapters either, but I love Team Samui now. They're cool.
So what do we have here? The lulzy Tsuchikage who looks like a mushroom and is grumpy and veeeeery old. His two guards: a perky chick and a... Chouji))) And an incredible cracktastic dispute of who's going to carry the Grandpa's luggage. I approve.
Next: a super-sexy Mizukage (btw do you think she's blonde? XDD Or blue-haired? I'm curious for some reason))) and a charming pointy-toothed Swordsman))) They get younger and younger... Oh, but you know me, gimme a Mist kid with shark teeth and I'm bound to like him))) So the newbie, Chojiro (is Chouji highjacking this rant or what!?), is naturally my new fav thing. The Mizukage is somewhat weird (what's with the obsession with men? Is it feminism or on the contrary, is she saying she wants a man nao?)))), but nice too.
Finally, the Raikage returns and acts brutally as ever))) Really, dude, force isn't everything unless you're a Jedi.
In the meantime, Naruto's having a self-sacrificial moment with the Cloud nins, offering himself as a punching bag b/c, you know, the chain of hate sucks. *Now I want to listen to Fleetwood Mac.* *now I am listening to Fleetwodd Mac*
Oh, Naruto... You're doing too much for him)) I hope you'll beat him into the ground for this. He deserved twice more now.
