Ohh, very cool! I haven't seen this film, but I wiki-ed it (wikipedia ftw XDD), and I think you did a good job of capturing the sense of deprivation they have.

He only hopes Preston is the kind of a murderer he is looking for: the one who will not only kill the right men, but his own feelings too when the time comes.
Good line. :)

Now I sort of want to see this movie. XD

You should definitely watch it! I never expected to love it as much as I do, but it became one of my top fav movies ever!
Thank you, darling! ^_^ Glad you liked it))

I'm a sucker for anti-utopias, both books and films))))) and for Christian Bale

I LOVE anti-utopias! Or dystopias, whatever they're called. Especially 1984. :DD

I liked 1984 too, but it was a little too depressing)))))

I don't remember many titles actually, but I guess the usual is applicable: Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, some others I can't remember... I like it even if there are only elements of dystopia in other genres)))

Haha yeah, I've read those too. Brave New World sort of creeps me out more than the others, for some reason. XDD

I guess every fan of dystopias has read those))) BNW was really creepy, but 1984 is on top of my list of creepiness. As for F451, I once saw a really awesome performance in a theater based on this book. It left me completely speechless)))

A play of Fahrenheit 451? Cool! :D I dunno, have you read Evgeny Zamyatin's We? There's also Ayn Rand's stuff, only she throws in so many long speeches. XDD

Yeah, it was really awesome))
I've read We, just forgot to mention it. Liked it a lot, though it was also depressing as hell))))

Yeah, We was depressing. The way it's written vaguely reminds me of Anthem--I think it's how each entity is designated a number and such.
