I'm so glad you got this finished before the series finale. :) And what a great chapter it was - possibly my favourite so far. <3

As far as cock-ups go, this one is somewhere between broken objects casually repairing themselves in the next frame and every army ever invading Russia in winter. - I loved this line. So perfect, and so perfectly Cutler. And it makes me think of that picture of Napoleon's retreat that he had in his office.

Where the hell is everyone? He is not a fucking paramedic! - And this just gave me a sudden craving for some Mullery. LOL

It was a wonderfully violent chapter, as well. I really didn't see Adam's death coming. I know Cutler is always selfish, and he frequently thinks about doing bad things, but I wasn't expecting him to actually go ahead and do it. Great stuff!

I was less suprised to find out that "Rachel" is actually Eve. I liked the way she's not pretending any more. the gloves are really off now.

Yvonne kicked arse this time around. I loved the way she stabbed Milo in the eye, and then managed to bag them a prisoner. Don't mess with an angry succubus! XD

But my favourite parts of this chapter were (predictably) the Hal and Cutler moments. It really felt at times like they might actually work as a "couple" - not the right word, I know, but it felt like they'd reached some sort of equilibrium. Hal still wants him, even though he's crap at admitting it. And Cutler knows what a bastard Hal can be, but has come to terms with the fact that it doesn't stop him wanting Hal too.

He reminds himself that he hates Hal - but he has always hated Hal, and wanted Hal, and wanted to be Hal, and to be with Hal. - The perfect summary of their relationship!

I thought for a moment that you might have relented and given us the full monty, but the sex scene was cut frustratingly short. It was so hot, and they were so close - I can feel Cutler's frustration. You tease! :P

And I must say how much I love the ending. <3 I'm kind of hoping that this is just Hal being ruthless, without slipping back into evil mode. I'm also hoping that he's threatening Eve to save Cutler's life, not just to save the world. How soon can you get the next chapter written? LOL Because this story feels like it's building up to a far more epic conclusion than the actual show. XD

So am I! It was really far easier to write than the previous chapters. XD
Hahaha, well, I assume Cutler's lost his job in Barry. He should become a surgeon now and be Mullery. XDDD
I really didn't see Adam's death coming. I'm happy because I really wanted it to be a surprise. This is actually the main reason behind my character death rant post. If I'd put up a warning for character death here, it'd have been very obvious from the ending of ch 5 that Adam will die. I don't care if it's fanfic etiquette; I don't want to spoil such plot twists. >_<
LOL, I think Rachel being Eve surprised nobody but Cutler. XDDD
I love Yvonne. XD She's the unlikely badass. Too bad we can't see her kick Hatch's arse! It's be appropriate: she's half-demon, he's, like, her Granddad)))
I'm glad the Hal/Cutler bits worked out... You know how I feel about Hal now))) Some of it shows here. But LOL, Hal isn't the kind of disease one gets cured from so easily. And poor Nick is still sick, I'm afraid.
Hehehe, Cutler's frustration is nothing compared to mine. I died writing that scene! Because of it I was almost sure I wouldn't finish the chapter today. XDDD
Re: Hal. At least I can promise you no Jekyll/Hyde moments. Or can I? ;)))))
Thank you so much for reading, darling! I'm happy that you enjoyed the chapter. As for the next one, well, I do feel pretty inspired for now but no idea what the finale does to my poor harrassed muse. >_< Here's hoping it doesn't kill it.
