im not too sure if anyone will ever read this or has read the last update i posted like 2 years ago but i decided to give it a shot not that journals are meant to be read by other people anyhow. Im living in new york city now after nantucket i moved back to school in upstate ny then back out to nantucket then to california for 2-3 months then to brooklyn ny. I was living in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn for 6 months for monetary reasons. I was only paying $300 rent for a nice apt in the middle of the hood. (When i say hood i mean riding a bike down tamrind at 2 am in a catholic school uniform seemed much safer than walking from my train stop to my apt) so i ended up living there untill i got my first gun in my side (i had gotten jacked a few times before but nothing life threatening). So my fiance and i moved in with her brother to the lower east side of manhattan. I've been working in one restaraunt since i've been here (about 1 yr) called Eleven Madison Park. I started working the meat app station, then the soup station (1 week total) and then i got promoted to Saucier or Meat Saucier or Meat Roast which i have Been doing ever since. The restaurant and chef are both very intense. The most intense i have ever worked with/in. I started working about 12-15 hr days for 10-15 days strait with out a day off. The routine repeated itself for about 4 months untill we got fully staffed. Things have been up and down since then but now i have 2 days off a week and am working a mere 60-70 hrs a week. I love my apt and neighborhood. However, i dont plan on living here forever.
