a prayer request
hello, this is a post to inform all of those of you who dont know.. Im finally having a chance to post as I am at my cousins house who has had power restored to her.
Wednesday a large freezing rain ice storm hit this area, we have been without power since. Everyone has been bundling up nice and tight in there homes at night, or running generators to keep such things as the heat or the fridge running. Generators were exploding everywhere and people were watching the powerlines catch fire, many people have been forced into shelters including my friend and bassist in my band Ian Duvall. Many people have moved into hotels in other towns to frequent those until they are able to return home. Many friends including David and Ty have had there basements runined due to the incoming water into them and the failure of sub pumps without water.
Its been crazy to live like this, and its expected that power will not be fully restored for 5 or more days.. and the prediction is that it will take up to 9 days for complete 100% power return for everyone.. 81 thousand or more in the area are without power.
My parents and I have decided to head up to our lake cottage as the storm didnt hit there, but please pray for everyone in muncie and its surrounding areas.
I just took my first shower since wednesday morning.
The storm has forced the people of this town to pull together in an effort to repair though, so it is good to see this bringing us all together.
So please pray for all of us here who are lighting up our nights with candles and flashlights, or the people who have had there basement ruined due to flooding or sub pump failure, or the people who are really struggling to stay warm through the night.. Please pray for them. Thank You.
