I've been really wanting to see What we do in the Shadows since I've seen it pop up on my Tumblr dashboard but wasn't sure if it would be too gory for me. It sounds like it was pretty low key in the gore department though so I might add it to my Netflix queue.

True Blood had more gore than What We Do...so you should be OK. Although there is one scene which even made me go urgh! (vampire eats French fry....it doesn't end well :/ )

I thought about seeing Prisoners when it came out but I'm not big into the 'wrongly accused person gets attacked/killed/tortured thing'.

Ah now I think you would have problems with Prisoners, the violence is VERY violent. But then again you have Jake and his porn!hair so....
