happy belated birthday! i'm glad you had what seems to have been a a fairly uneventful birthday... that sounds better in my head, but i'm hoping you're getting what i'm trying to say. i've only had one caffinated beverage today & it is likely i'm rambling.
welcome to the tattoo club, although i have to admit, if i was closeby, i'd be repeatedly patting you on the shoulder for kicks. i suck. but you're right about the pain, or lack thereof... mine didn't so much hurt as it did make me twitch. when they were running the needle over my spine (oddly, least painful part) my leg was twitching like... something that twitches a lot. i like what you've gone with, suits you perfectly. i don't know what you've been doing to keep it clean (& stop it sticking to clothes), but my guy had me cover it in vaseline & then cover it in shrink wrap. i know, it sounds odd, but it keeps all the moisture in your skin & stops you pulling the scabs off everytime you remove a shirt. also, lots & lots of stupidly hot baths. here's to hoping it doesn't itch for too long.
all hail cheesecake. the least cakiest of all the cakes. personally, i'd be after the carrot cake, but cheesecake is good too.
Uneventful birthdays are the best, actually. And thanks xD
There's a club? Do I get a card? Lol. My shoulder never hurt. I made my sisters not touch it for the first two days, but now it just itches like mad. I had people warning me that getting on my back would hurt like hell, but, I was not sure hwo that was possible. We humans are foolish enough to sleep on spring matresses, if that doesn't kill our backs, neither will a tattoo.
Yeah, vaseline and wrap, I had that right after I got the tattoo. After that iwas polysporin for three days and now I am at skin lotion to prevent it from drying out. It also helps with the itchies.
As for not sticking to clothing, Well I am personally much too lazy to actually try and put gauze on everyday, so I just picked a shirt to ruin. ^_^
uneventful birthdays are most definately the best, now if only you could find a polite way to tell people not to call you & sing down the phone, we'd be all set.
& yes, there's a club for just about everything these days, but last time i checked there wasn't a card. which is a lame, i'd love to get me a card. the people who seem to believe that back tattoos (& usually tattoos in general) are painful, either haven't got one or have a really low pain threshold. i sat drinking tea & eating biscuits when mine was being done, it was a lovely day out... in a basement. :D
eh, can always buy a new shirt. infact, i could use me a new shirt. one of the smaller clothes shops in town is closing (welcome to the recession) this weekend & i'm sure i could heft me up some bargains. :D
I had two attempts. I didn't bother with polite and hung up. It was beautiful. Especially the vast amount of swearing I got when they called back.
Damn, I wanted a card. And I agree, which means I'll spend the next two months calling my friend a pussy. They are also completely terrified of needles, which leads to the arguement of, if they are afraid of needles, whythe hell did they get a tattoo?!
Tea is evil and out to get us all, jsut the record.
I know, and I will more thn likely replace it. Good luck with those bargains! I keep heading to all the stores closing and getting new things that are usually above my pay roll just because I can.
Though, for the life of me, I still see no use in a lamp shaped as a naked woman. Ahahaha.
