Do you?

I don't think I will be spoiling them that much, but I was wondering if they needed any special care.

I never thought about it really. My Chimchar seems to be eating the regular food just fine. It might depend on the Pokemon's personality...

That is good to know.

I've been trying different types of food for the adults, but I don't want to be too experimental on the newborns.

You're starting to sound like a scientist now...

[Smiles a little.] I like doing my best in all the things I do, so I have been investigating a bit.

Seriously? Maybe you'll discover a new breed of Pokemon or something while you're here.

That would be interesting. Meanwhile, I'm interested in selective breeding, and how the heritage may help the children.

Um... huh? Could you repeat that for me in easier terms?

Breeding certain pokémon to get certain characteristics passed down to their children. For example breeding two strong pokémon so their child will be naturally stronger.

It's not too different to what breeders do back in my world with dogs for contests or racing horses.

Oh, now I remember about reading up on that! [Sup Lion. You have a fellow nerd in your midst. Although he's secretly a ninja about it.]

[Let's run together to a nerdy sunshine! Just make sure to bring your girlfriend so she won't get mad.]

I'm sure that stronger pokémon can be bred trough careful selection, I am a little surprised that the concept is not more popular, actually.

[I'm okay with this! That is if my girlfriend doesn't fall asleep in the technobabble.]

It might get more popular later on. I'd say that people in the future will probably take this for further places. Like... maybe cloning an animal or something.

[Better asleep than angry.]

[Cloning...] Nothing would surprise me at this point, but I can't see the point of replicating the same characteristics when you can reach for something superior.

Probably because it'd look cool! You've heard about the endangered species in the world, right? To some people, I can only guess that cloning would be a nice way to keep them alive.

Of course... Not killing them would be a more intelligent way, but of course one cannot go back on things that are already done.

I can see why it would be useful in that case.
