i recently started eating fish and i love giada's recipes. there's one for steamed fish in a bag that is so easy and DELICIOUS and yesterday i tried her halibut with grapefruit fennel salsa. so good! www.foodtv.com is my go-to resource for recipes.

you put everything in a foil "bag" and bake it:

also, if and when you do get a microwave, i suggest NOT steaming your veggies in those steamer bags. the microwave totally kills all of the vitamins and nutrients. get a steamer or steamer basket you can put on top of a pot of boiling water instead. plus, don't forget to buy a rice cooker if you like rice! i've started cooking rice and then dividing it into portions and freezing it in tupperware. that way, my rice never goes bad anymore and i always have cooked rice whenever i need it. brown rice takes so damn long to cook and it sucks to have to wait 3 hours to eat it when you're starving.

also, i've started cooking once or twice a week and bringing my lunch to work and have managed to cut my food bill in half! i guess i like to eat out a lot.

god i like to eat out a lot too....i think storage is key when you are cooking more if you want to save money. not that i have much experience with it, but when i tried in the past, things would go bad too quickly or before i'd feel like eating them again. so your rice storage sounds like a good plan.

how do you reheat it?

in the microwave for about 40 seconds! i keep saying that i'm going to start freezing meals but i am too lazy.
