Ties for a Tremere elder
I'm going to be making a Tremere Elder. This elder will most likely come from an "honorable mercenary" background (think Swiss or Scottish who were loyal once hired). I'm going to try to have him be fairly far up the pyramid, depending on how things go with approvals and the like, and fairly old for a Tremere.
This is a character who is a thinker, a planner, a developer. Someone who actually cares about the house and clan in general and his particular part of it specifically. Who thinks about the bigger picture, about where is this going to get us 3 years down the line, who knows how to survive internal Tremere politics but is never happy when he has to waste resources and potential by killing another Tremere. A diplomat as well as someone who can pull out the big old fireball if he has to.
My style as a Tremere elder will be to sit back and let the ancilla and neonates handle things as best they can, while instructing them in what they need to know and giving them suggestions and direction when necessary - while I deal with other elders. In other words, the "leader" as a support character.
To do that, I need allies, minions, friends and informants in as many places as possible across all clan lines. I also need ties to other elders, especially ones who are highly interested in the Camarilla's stability.
