Tech questions for my friends
I'm wondering if any of you out there (especially those with serious hardware and dev experience) can answer a few questions for me:
Crossfire Vs. SLI vs single card - pros, cons, and have you had any direct experience with a 2-card system, how did it stack up?
I'm looking to buy a new computer come late december/early january....
I will probably buy a Dell, because we have EPP through them and so I get a discount.
Also - processors - any point in taking one of the really new shiney ones?
Finally, operating systems. I don't like vista, I like XP pro. Is there a 64 bit version of XP out there that will let me use all my ram on a 4GB+ system or am I stuck using either vista or windows 7 (which isn't even out yet).
