Magical ritual of painting little cosmic symbols of new life. Runescrpting and spellbinding and all. Me loves this aspect of Easter. Always wish I had more time (always happens to be exams or something like this time... ), but I make time to do at least a couple.

I'm impressed with the speed I made this one with... and the rather straight-on alignment despite all free-hand, quick work...I think Im getting slightly better with the intricate geometrics as time goes by... wish I got to have more practice! The colours of dye this year pissed me off a bit again (I really need to get those hard core Ukrainian dyes... I'll do it after this Easter... then maybe I'll be painting these year round... scary :P)... the brown is supposed to be a dark rich red. Once again I was bound by dye limitations...
This one I made in a very different style than most of the others. Wanted to try something bolder, more primitive and simple in design. I chose the sun, as a sign of resurrected God and triumph of life over death. Turned out very earthy (again, the brown is an accident), but I think I like it.

I often sneak in obvious Goddess themes into these... here are examples (triple moon signs... and the last one's got a triskele too):
Happy Easter/Ostara/Passover/New Life holiday/random eating of chocolate and giving thanks to the Divine Bunny ;)
