Just got back from the allergist, and the underside of my right arm looks like a circuit board, with a matrix of transistor bumps of varying sizes traversing it. Apparently my ultimate enemies of doom are a variety of grasses, ragweed, the alternaria mold, and both kinds of dust mite. So I'm going to get allergy shots for those things and also dogs and cats, which I am quite allergic to as well though not nearly on the same scale as the aforementioned stuff. Additionally, I found out that the dog/cat thing can be helped if they're rinsed on a regular basis. Doesn't even have to involve washing with soap, which most of 'em don't like since the soap irritates their skin. Just a simple rinsing with water to remove most of the dead skin and saliva proteins that slough off, and there's less risk of allergic reaction. Huzzah for modern medicine. :)
