Not a long entry, just a brief run down of events.
29 July
Went to work at 8am. Not really the type of thing I like to do on Saturdays, but I'm getting used to it. 7 hours into my shift a monitor message flashes up with huge bold writing:
Happy Birthday
Tomorrow
Kelly-Joe
I was like !!!!!!! Omg how embarrassing! These monitors are to update us on important events such as a certain system being down, overtime available, make more revenue for the company and along comes a casual message wishing me a happy birthday. There are about 130 people working who are thinking, who the haye is Kelly-Joe??? Damn knowing people in C&R and I.T lol. I thought maybe it would go away because these messages are usually on a loop but I swear to god this thing was permanent. 8hours and 10 minutes into my shift I had to ring them up and get them to take it off ><
Asking C&R to take off a monitor message is like asking to walk the plank. 8hours and 20 mintues into my shift they took it off. 8 hours and 45 mintues into my shift and I had finished.
Gave Foxy a call and he was only coming home from jamming with Honeyflood.

I felt like killing him, he was a half hour away and it was already 5pm.
Got home and mom was here. We talked for a bit and she ironed the new dress dad had gotten me for my Birthday. Foxy got home. Mom left. We showered and left also.
I had sported my new dress and nailpolish red headband and party shoes.
Realised that I've just lost my wallet.
6pm arrived at Royal Pines and parked outside because it was so full. 6:10pm Waited for the parents to arrive. 6:30 my parents arrive and by this stage I was freaking. 6:40 Foxy's parents still no show. Went up to the lobby to have a look and they came walking up the stairs too. 6:45 the Fox's meet the Douglas'. Handshaking, names are known, the drinks have been ordered. I'm hungry so I'm the first one up to the buffet: yay for oysters.
Dinner goes well, they chat about holidays where they have been and where they should go or are planning to go in the future. Lots of small chat of course. Seemed to go well. Asked mom if she could come home with me so I could pick up my passport, she said yes.
8:30pm pick up my passport from home, give Astra a call and made our way to Chevron. Met up with Astra and Sunny at their apartment where they already had a few indian friends drinking up. Astra had one smirnof Citrus and she was tipsy. Met up with Kate and Conan (who turned 19 on the same day I turned 18). Was excited to see Kate after so long considering we are childhood friends. Left Kates apartment with Foxy, Lizzy, Astra, Sunny, Shabeer and myself.
Went to nightclubbing. And came back home at about 4:30am.
Sleep.
July 30 -
Wake up to a message being left on the machine. Mom and Oma had rang to wish me a Happy Birthday and Astra left me a message while I was in the shower. Foxy and I went to Campinile for lunch. Then set off to see Oma.
Drove past Bundall and the Greek Festival was backing cars up , it was crazy. Oma wanted to go to eat some food but I pointed out how busy it was and the impossibility of getting a park so she suggested a movie instead. Found ourselves at Aus Fair. Had a coffee at Coffee Club and Oma and Foxy had scones. I was too full to even consider eating. Bought movie tickets to Superman Returns and went shopping for awihle. Oma bought a gift for my auntie and I bought a Poker Set for Foxy. We went in to the film and Oma suggested some nibblies. So I got a bottle of water and some Maltesers for a whopping $10.50!
The film was pretty good though i thought Lois Lane could have been a hell of a lot better. Spacey takes after Lex so well and the new guy for Clark aint to bead either. The movie took two and a half hours so we dropped Oma off and made our way home. 6pm and we stop by Mcdonalds for two quarter pounders. Mom and I ate at the table, Foxy wasn't hungry. Checked LJ and Michael had left me a message =)
7:30pm We all left in the Merc to go over to dads. I was driving. We had cake and drinks at his place, lots of photos because mom forgot the camera the night before. Had a chat and we made our way home. Stopped by the Dog and Parrot to get mom some Baileys Cream. They didn't even ask for ID! Came home and had a few drinks with mom. Foxy played the Bass for us full ball with the background music playing on the surround sound system. Went to sleep early because I was so wrecked. 10pm I was in Land of Nod.
