Christa was both nervous and excited. She had never expected to get married but Leonard had changed all of that. While some would say he was only doing it because she was pregnant, Christa knew he loved her as much as she loved him, and her pregnancy was only one small part of it.
The wedding hadn't taken long to plan, especially since Christa's mother had taken it over when the couple announced they wanted to have it on the Pike's family ranch. Within a few weeks, the invitations had been sent and Christa had her dress.
Even though not everyone could come, she was happy to see several guests had RSVP, including James Kirk. It was nice to know he had gotten over his anger with Leonard leaving the Enterprise.
The night before the wedding, Christa and her mother went to stay in the guest house, leaving the men at the main house for the night. When morning came, Christa looked out to see the ranch was almost decorated for the occasion. It wasn't anything fancy - chairs for the guests and a gazebo for her and Leonard to get married in. It was simple, yet beautiful.
Soon, she was putting on her wedding dress and her mother was doing her hair. Once they were finished, they went outside and stood at the top of the makeshift aisle, which was a red carpet running to the gazebo. Christa could see Leonard standing there and she smiled as she waited for her father to walk her down the aisle.
