...The entire point of webmail is that you can check it wherever you are. Even if, say, you're still on DSL that changes your IP every time the power goes out.
Google refuses to let me log into my email until I give them a phone number or another email address. So much for privacy and useability. And yeah, my password's correct. They just think they're protecting everyone by collecting more data about all of us. Hm, sounds TSA-familiar...?
So tell me, oh genius google managers, what's to stop someone else from entering their own email address in the blank? Nothing. Nothing at all.
So anyway, I may be changing my email address shortly. Sorry!
ETA: Omg, it gets better! Not only does Google not deign to have actual support links and humans answering questions, but the help forum? You can't post a question unless you... can log in first.
