Oh yeah! Sakura-con. And lolita.
So yeah, we went to Sakura-con last week and now we're back. XD Now I am awesomely more full of pinky street girls and figurines and a surprisingly nice new loli blouse. Also awesomely more broke!
Sakura seems to really be improving, actually! Hardly any of the staff acted like power-tripping assholes and the lines didn't seem nearly as bad. Although that may be because we hardly went to any events. I'm really sad that I didn't manage to make it to the Ali Project concert or Aimee's picnic. . . or anything else. ^^;;;; We did make the karaoke, though!
I wish there was another con close by that we could go to between Sakura and Kumori. As in, not in California. Sorry, Californians. I hate your state. A lot. Driving to AX was like, a day and a half of mind-numbing ugliness. >.<; Anyway, we should start a con in Bellingham, that's what I decided. XD In the summer sometime. The hotel behind Fred Meyer's is a convention center!

On the last day of the con, we ran into Ritsuko and Plude! It was really great to see them again, even if it was only for a few minutes. So there's Ritsuko as a cranky Snape <3, Plude wearing something amazing that she made for school (if it's a specific costume I don't know the character, sorry!) and me, obviously.
My outfit rundown:
Bow: Claire's XD
Dress: Angelic Pretty
Petticoat: In the Starlight
Socks: Offbrand
Sock Toppers: The White Peacock (although, even after exchanging them for a smaller pair, they're still too big -_-;;)
Shoes: Demonia
The day after the con. <3
Bows: More Claire's, heh.
Blouse: The White Peacock. I know that a lot of their stuff is crap quality, but the blouse is actually really nice and comfy. The lace on it is nice too. The more I wear it the more I really like it. XD My only complaint is that it's really too long to wear with a skirt resting at your natural waist. I'm thinking of getting it altered, maybe, but until then you have to look at my elastic.
Skirt: Handmade by camelie_sales. I love it so so so much! The little heart is actually a pocket. It's beautifully made, too.
Shoes: Holy crap $5 clearance at Target. XD They're little girl's shoes, but at children's size 5 they're almost too big for my lady's size 7 feet. They're not amazing as far as loli shoes go, but for a casual day that involves a lot of walking, they're great!
