Today is my last day in new york. It's been a great 2 weeks for sure. I'm a bit surprised as to just how quick it all went and sad to be leaving, but happy too. I love my friends, but I also miss my bed and apartment and beaches and roommates and pets. So let's see flew out last Monday and got a layover in Utah in exchange for a 400 voucher to fly delta in the future... i was all over taking that. i didn't realize utah was the home of mormons however. yeah... just hills and people walking around with bibles... for 6 hours! I was happy to leave and do not plan to visit in the future. Got into new york tuesday morning at around 7am. Got to Kristins and rocked a 3 hour nap. I woke up to Geoff at the front door with a flower, it was so cute. We hung out with Kristin and Kay for awhile and then went out for the day in the city. Ate at SEA in brooklyn, my favoritest thai restaurant. Then we went into the city and walked around manhatten for a few hours. We got a hotel in midtown and had hours of snuggle and makeout time and nappage in there. Woke up after a few hours and met up with Kristin and Jay. We went to Beauty Bar and danced and drank and had good times. Walked around the city and went to another bar for a last drink and then parted ways. Geoff had gotten me peresents ain Myrtle Beach.. there was a brown shirt with a pink skull.. black capri pants.. a black beach towel with lots of lil white skulls on it and some intimate appearal. Too cute! Had an amazing night.. I miss him when he's gone, I'm one for the long hours of snuggle time. The next day he left early to go to the venue and I went to Kristins to hang out.
I met Geoff for dinner before the show and we got sushi in time square and saw a movie. He then went to work and K met me to watch the Rise Against show at the Nokia. I finally got my laminate so I can just go backstage without being escorted to all the shows. It was a pain on the tours they weren't headlining like with My Chemical Romance because I'd only get a guest pass and got so much shit for walking around all the time. The show was good. K and I danced on the side of the stage and afterward hungout with the bands backstage whiile the crews loaded the semi. Met some cool people, drank some free beer. Then we hung out on the bus for awhile until bus call and the boys had to leave for conneticut. Sad times indeed. But we made a friend Bryan whose a designer for Zoo York skateboards and i friend of Tim's so we all went out to party and take some shots.
Thursday and friday I just hung out with my second family. Saw the opening of Ratitouille which was cutuer than muffins to watch. Did lots of drinking nights on the stoop and enjoying the city.
Saturday I went to New Hampshire to hang with the rentals. Worked on some wedding plans and caught up. Sunday my rentals wanted to see Knocked Up as well. I love that movie, but it was def odd to see it with them. sex drugs and parental issues with a bag of popcorn? haha yeah...
Monday got all my credit and school things squared away so that I will be set for the fall...
Tuesday hung out with Jake and co. Lunch in Portsmouth and some lite shopping ending in coffee at breaking new grounds.
Wednesday I met Manda in rochester at the campgrounds by baxter lake. We also had some lunch in Portsmouth, watched a movie back at the campsite and had massage/catch up time.
Thursday... I woke up and organized my things at my parents and packed up my things and drove to Boston to catch the bus back to the city. once here me jay and K went to this bar in park slope that has bochi ball courts. I rocked the game after some shots of teqiulla.
Which brings us to now. Late start to the day, btut going into the city to go shopping and get a new tattoo! Possibly a piercing as well we shall see. Not sure which tattoo I'm getting today I have a few planned. I might start one of my sleeves, or get something cute behind my ears :) Tonight everyones getting together and meeting at Trash at rififis to dance till 5 am. Then tomorrow I leave around 2 for JFK and start the journey home. Geoff is in Canada and will be there until Auguest 1st :( Missing him lots. Flying to San Fransisco for the last few days of the tour. Also coming back to Boston during the second leg with K to see that show as well. Longest summer tour ever... 7 weeks... 2 weeks off then 5 more weeks. Lamepants. But the end of the second leg is all in Cali and I guess we're gonna do a weekend in vegas as well. I promise no drunken early wedding bliss... We're sticking to the date we planned but are waiting to announce :)
